Following the enactment of the Special Act on the Promotion of Distributed Energy in June 2024, Korea has officially established the legal status of Distribution System Operators (DSOs).

This has brought about significant changes centred on the distribution network, including the obligation to establish long-term distribution plans and to disclose distribution network management guidelines.

In addition, to ensure stable power system operation with the growing number of distributed energy resources (DERs) connected to the distribution grid, Korea completed the nationwide implementation of its self-developed Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS) in February 2025.

By attending the Seoul workshop, you will have a valuable opportunity to both directly and indirectly experience cutting-edge innovations in Korea’s electricity distribution network, together with experts from around the world.
