Your visit to Seoul - About Seoul

The South Korean capital seamlessly blends rapidly growing cultural trends led by modern K-culture alongside a deep history and series of traditions.

In Seoul, you can cross a street from an ancient palace walked by Joseon kings to see the latest high-rise buildings. Traveling from the COEX shopping mall and the large-scale theme park in Jamsil takes less than an hour by car to Bukhansan National Park. During the day, indulge in street food in Myeongdong and Hongdae, and in the evening, enjoy a gastronomic journey at elegant high-end Korean restaurants in Hannam-dong, Cheongdam-dong, and more.

As the epicenter of South Korea’s politics, economy, and society, Seoul is a bustling hub that attracts people from all over the country. With its diverse attractions, Seoul is a distinct global tourist destination that encompasses history, culture, art, cuisine, and shopping.

Getting to Seoul

The main way to get to Seoul is by flying into either Incheon International Airport (ICN) or Gimpo International Airport (GMP).

From the airport, you can take the AREX train (Express or All Stop), airport bus, or a taxi to your final destination. The AREX Express train is fastest to Seoul Station, while the All Stop train is more budget-friendly and has more stops, including Gimpo Airport.

Airport Railroad (AREX)

AREX is a railway that connects Incheon International Airport and Gimpo Airport to downtown Seoul.
